Join Nathan McAllister (recently awarded a Masters Degree in the Dalhousie Classics department) for our autumn parish reading group. The group will consider the classic novel by Charles Williams, Descent into Hell.
Williams was a close friend and confidant of CS Lewis. In addition to non-fiction works and poetry, he wrote a series of novels exploring the relationship between the visible and invisible worlds, devoting much of his work to understanding how the doctrine of the atonement shapes what it means for us to bear one another’s burdens.
This will take place in the Trinity House dining room on Thursdays at 7pm, Oct 8 through Nov 19. The study group will be part of the preparation for confirmation for adults. All are welcome, even those already confirmed or who are not currently considering confirmation.
