The Exhortation appointed to be read on Ash Wednesday (page 611-612) in the Book of Common Prayer directs us to “the observance of a holy Lent, by self-examination and repentance, by prayer, fasting, and self-denial, and by reading and meditation upon God’s holy Word.” The Rector will lead three bi-weekly sessions to help us better understand these disciplines, what the Book of Common Prayer says about them, and how we might undertake them with a renewed vigour. These sessions are especially designed for those new to the Book of Common Prayer.
