Toddlers and their mums in Toddlers' Church

Toddlers and their mums in Toddlers’ Church

“But Jesus said, Suffer little children and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 19:14

Children of all ages belong to the life of the church and are welcome and encouraged to participate in the service.

Parents with babies or young children who need a break from the service can use the nursery room at the back of the church.

Alternatively, they are welcome to join the children in the Toddlers’ Church downstairs where the children hear a Bible story, sing, and participate in activities and open play. Toddlers’ Church meets during the 10:30am Sunday service.

Sunday School for grades 1-6 meets September to June and is incorporated into the 10:30 am Sunday morning worship.

We believe that children are an important part of the parish; it is not unusual to see the children sitting on the chancel steps for the children’s talk, singing in the Junior or Cherub choirs, or standing by the font during baptisms.

The Sunday School-aged children are present in the church from the beginning of the 10:30am service until just after the Creed, when they head to the Parish Hall for their lessons and crafts. Teachers and children return to the service during Communion to join the congregation at the altar rail to receive the sacrament or a blessing and to participate in the post-Communion prayers and hymns.

All children are welcome!
