Children’s Choirs

Junior Choir: Ages 6-12
This group meets on Tuesdays 6-7pm in the Guild Room in the Parish Hall. The Junior Choir welcomes children 6-12 years old who enjoy singing and making music. Strong emphasis is placed on learning to sing in a healthy, musical way. Informal instruction on music theory is also included during the weekly rehearsals. The Junior Choir repertoire draws on a variety of musical styles, and is intended to enhance the Christian Education appropriate to this age group.

Here is a track from the Christmas Nine Lessons & Carols service on Jan 5, 2014, featuring the Junior Choir with the Parish Choir.

“Rocking,” a traditional Czech carol, arranged by David Willcocks

Cherubs: Children under 6 years old.
Each Sunday following the 10.30 service, our Music Director Garth MacPhee leads an informal singing circle for preschoolers and their mothers. The Cherubs meet in the Guild Room, adjacent to the Parish Hall where Coffee Hour takes place. The music is geared for children under 6 yrs old. The songs are simple and enjoyable, intended to cultivate a love of singing and making music together. All are welcome!
