Baptismal, Marriage, and Burial Records
The Parish holds baptismal records from 1951 to present, marriage records from 1954 to present, and burial records from 1956 to present. All parish records from before those dates have been handed over to the Nova Scotia Public Archives. If you are interested in looking up parish records held at the Public Archives, the following may be useful:

Saint George’s Anglican Church (Anglican) – Halifax, Halifax County
5 reels of microfilm: 15070, 15071, 15072, 15073, 11472.
Baptisms  1783-1953

Marriages  1783-1953

Burials  1784-1954, 1784-1956

Other — Banns, 1841-1919; miscellaneous records.
Note: Records of St. George’s Church include its predecessor Little Dutch Church, Halifax: Births, 1783-1806; Marriages, 1784-1804; Burials, 1784-1801 (on microfilm 11472).

Note that the marriage records the Parish holds are not official marriage certificates. For an official copy of your marriage certificate, please contact Vital Statistics at Access Nova Scotia.

We can, however, issue replacement baptismal certificates and provide photocopies of our records on file (that is, records from the early 1950’s ’til the present). Each request will be subject to a $15 flat fee in support of the St George’s Poor Fund. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like to pursue this option.
